Henry was born in the Dominican republic where he learned to love the game of baseball. He went to Miami Senior High School and ended his senior season with a .415 batting average.
Henry was offered a scholarship to play for Lambuth University (NAIA) in Jackson, TN, The school was known for having a dominant athletic program. He played all around the diamond from the infield to the outfield. His Junior year he was player of the week with a batting avg. of .882 getting on base 15-17 at bats and had 3 HR. Henry started his senior season hitting above .532 and was being looked at by the New York Mets and the Pittsburg Pirates. He had a hip injury half way through the season and lost opportunity to be drafted. Henry finished his senior season hitting .299 with 10 HR. Henry was invited to the Frontier League (Independent Baseball League) tryout and was 3rd overall pick by Florence Freedom in Florence, KY.
At that time, Henry learned he was going to be a father. He chose to hang up his cleats to be a devoted father to his twin daughters. Now, Henry brings his experience to Diamond Baseball.
