Allison Fulmer Mahan

 

Allison Fulmer, the daughter of long-time Tennessee Head Football Coach Phillip Fulmer, played on Maryville squads that included a state runner-up in 2002 and made the playoffs in each successive season. As a senior captain and first baseman, Fulmer helped guide her team to an appearance in the 2005 Tennessee Class AAA State Tournament by hitting .342 with 26 RBI while making just one error in the field. She was chosen to the 2005 all-district tournament team (Class AAA, District 4) as well as to the all-county team in Blount County, TN. Fulmer also picked up four varsity letters on the basketball court while serving one year as a team captain at Maryville. Her Maryville Magic summer travel squad won the 2003 Tennessee State Tournament as well as the USSSA World Series. Fulmer was also named as a member of the 18-U ASA Elite 8 All-Tournament Team, and played summer ball with the Chattanooga Yankettes.

 

AS A RS-SOPHOMORE (2008):

Played in 22 contests for the Orange & White during the '08 campaign...Delivered a .167 batting average in just 18 at-bats while knocking in four runs, walking seven times and scoring once...Posted a career-high two RBIs on a single to left center in the fifth-inning of an 8-2 victory over Liberty (4/8)...Plated the first run of her career in a 14-0 (5 inn.) rout of Wagner (2/23)...Also singled in wins over Florida Gulf Coast (2/16) at the USF Best Western Tourney in Tampa, Fla., and at Mississippi State (4/26)...Drew bases loaded walks for single RBIs in a 5-1 triumph versus Florida A&M (2/18) and an 11-2 rout at Arkansas (3/21)...Received single at-bats in high-profile contests against #1 Florida at the Southeastern Conference Tournament and in NCAA Regional play against #17 Virginia Tech...Was chosen as a member of the 2008 SEC Spring Honor Roll for her work in the classroom.

 

AS A RS-FRESHMAN (2007):

Played in 12 games for the Lady Vols in 2007 as either as pinch hitter or pinch runner...Hit .222 in nine at-bats with an RBI while drawing three walks...Drew a walk in the NCAA Regional win over Furman (5/18) and the 9-6 defeat against No. 12 Hawaii (5/26) in the Super Regionals...Played versus Ole Miss in the SEC Tournament (5/10) and managed a sixth inning base knock through the left side of the infield...Came in to bat for shortstop Liane Horiuchi at Kentucky (4/14) in Tennessee's 12-0 triumph and singled as part of a six-run, seventh frame...Drove in a run on a single up the middle in the opener of a doubleheader versus Liberty (3/26) and on a base hit to shortstop in a 12-0 (5 inn.) romp of in-state foe Tennessee Tech (4/3)...In a 7-0 rout of Oakland (3/2) at the Frost Classic in Chattanooga, TN, Fulmer, batting for Jennifer Griffin, singled in the sixth inning while driving in UT's final tally of the contest...Recorded her first base knock of the season in a pinch hit appearance to leadoff the seventh inning of a 9-2 win over Sacramento State (2/17) at the Louisville Slugger Desert Classic in Las Vegas, NV.
